precision points, the OLIVER DRILL POINT CHECKING GAGES are a must in your tool grinding
department. A dial indicator immediately shows any existing difference in the height
of the cutting lips.
The gages are easy to operate.
The smaller gage is provided with a magnifying glass to assist the operator in viewing the
drill point. Two indicator points are included for measuring the full diameter
range.
The errors found in drill points are
usually attributable to either hand grinding, inaccuracies in the drill grinders being
used or improper drill geometry. These
difficulties are remedied by an adjustment of the drill pointing equipment or by using a
drill point thinning machine to correct geometries of the drill. |
