Oliver of Adrian is the foremost producer of drill point reconditioning
equipment. Our most popular unit is the Model
600 Drill Grinder which is truly universal. Two
flute, three flute and four flute drills are handled with equal ease on an automatic
basis. Variable included point angels are readily obtained.
Variable clearance or lip relief angles can be dialed in.
The geometry that is best suited for your manufacturing procedures can be added to
your drills easily and quickly.
The revolving chuck and the oscillating grinding wheel spindle are
coordinated with a direct gear positive drive. It
is a heavy, powerful and rigid machine of proven design that will cover a wide range of
applications and give you many years of useful service.
The Model 600 Automatic Drill Grinder pictured above is supplied with an
airdraulic infeed unit that allows the operator to select the rate of infeed and the total
amount of stock removal. This feature,
combined with the automatic grinding cycle, permits the unit to function without an
operator once the loading and operating sequence has been completed. The machine is also supplied with a tank, pump,
splash guards and piping to provide coolant to the grinding area. |
The Model 600 Semi-Automatic Drill Pointer is offered as an option to those
who do not have sufficient quantities of large drills or who are not involved with large
amounts of metal removal when re-sharpening drills. It
is the same machine as the automatic unit in every respect except it does not have the
automatic infeed system.
The machine has the automatic grinding cycle and every cutting lip is
sharpened on a continuous automatic basis. A
simple hand wheel is used to feed the revolving chuck and drill toward the grinding wheel
where the automatic sharpening cycle takes place.
The Oliver Model 600 Drill Grinders do not require skilled labor as
operators. Set up is simple and continued
accuracy is assured since the chuck is easily adjusted to compensate for wear over a
period of time. |
